• Tadashi Yamaguchi – 1st year student. He is the midfielder (Middle Blocker) and the Pinch Server of the team. Yamaguchi is quite shy but friendly and hardworking. He is Tsukishima’s childhood best friend. He is a very strenuous person, having found extra practice on his own and continues to practice outside the team, after realizing how weak he is compared to the other members. After losing to Aoba Jousai, Yamaguchi gained confidence thanks to his teammates and Shimada Makoto, a former member of the Karasuno team, who helped him practice his jump float serve technique. Although he has always had an admiration for his friend, Yamaguchi is not afraid to speak his mind when he doesn’t accept something Tsukishima is doing, and scolds him for not doing his best during training.
